They say the suspect placed something, believed to be a handgun, on an elderly woman's back and demanded pain killer prescriptions from a pharmacist behind the counter.
CUMBERLAND, Md.Officials with C3I arrested two men Wednesday morning in connection to an armed robbery at a local pharmacy in Cumberland.

Officials say one of the suspects entered Steve's Pharmacy in the Bel Air Plaza around 10 a.m.

They say the man placed something, believed to be a handgun, on an elderly woman's back and demanded pain killer prescriptions from a pharmacist behind the counter.

The man fled the scene with another passenger and led Deputies with the Allegany County Sheriff's Office on a pursuit southbound down Route 28 in West Virginia, then into a residential neighborhood where they were finally caught on a dead end road.

Police found numerous items of clothing matching store surveillance video, a BB gun, along with pill bottles inside the vehicle.

The two men, Andrew Crescenzo, 36, and John Self, 29, both of Cumberland, are facing multiple charges including armed robbery, assault and theft.

Crescenzo and Self are both being held in West Virginia pending their return to Maryland.
