Two People Are Dead After Vehicle Crashes into Shenandoah River

Two people are dead after a car crash on Route 624, that sent a vehicle over a bridge and into the Shenandoah River.

WARREN COUNTY, VA - Two people are dead after a car crash on Route 624 sent a vehicle over a bridge and into the Shenandoah River 

Officials with Warren County Fire and Rescue say the accident happened Saturday evening at the Morgan's Ford Low Water Bridge.

They say an on-looker jumped into the water, broke a car window and was able to pull one person out from the vehicle.

A Warren County Sheriff's Deputy helped pull two others from the car. 

Deputies say all three people were taken to Warren Memorial Hospital where two were confirmed dead a short time later.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Virginia State Police.
