Two People Taken to Hospital in I-70 Accident

Two people have been taken to Meritus Medical Center after a single vehicle accident near exit 25 on I-70 Monday morning.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Two people were taken to the hospital Monday morning after a single vehicle accident on I-70. 

Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barrack say it happened shortly before 7 a.m. on I-70 eastbound near exit 25.

They say the fatigued driver, Karen Bougher, 58, of Verona, Pa., lost control of her 2003 Nissan and crossed over I-81 on eastbound I-70 and struck the bridge barrier. Both Bougher and the passenger, Mark Voron, 54, of Jeannette, Pa., were taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment. 

Maryland State Police say neither were wearing seatbelts at the time. 

The extent of their injuries are unknown.
