FALLING WATERS, WV - An attempted robbery turned deadly Friday morning in Falling Waters.

According to West Virginia State Police, Joshua Logan Stitley is being charged for stabbing his mother, 57-year-old Vicki Clem, to death.  His stepfather, 50-year-old Jack Walter Clem, was also stabbed and was transported to INOVA Hospital in Fairfax for treatment of injuries.

Police say Joshua Logan Stitley and Roy Lee Wisotzkey entered the home on 81 Vinca Lane shortly before 8:30 a.m. with a sword and baseball bat, in an attempt to rob it. Stitley alleges that after having an argument with his stepfather, he stabbed him in the groin.  He fled the scene.

His mother, Jacki Clem, was found stabbed to death on scene.

Dispatchers received a call shortly before 8:30 a.m. from a woman saying there was a naked man in her front yard yelling for help.

West Virginia State Police were able to pull Stitley over on Route 9.  Stitley told police he had stabbed his stepfather, and he also appeared to be intoxicated, admitting he had consumed vodka earlier.

His passenger, Roy Lee Wisotzkey, stated that he and Stitley drove to the Clem residence with the intention of robbing it.  After having a verbal argument with Jack Clem, he stabbed him.  Wisotzkey says he did not see Stitley stab Jacki Clem.

Both Stitley and Wisotzkey were arrested and are being charged with First Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery and Malicious Assault.
