Wanted Fugitive Arrested For Attempted Murder

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a Martinsburg man on Thursday who was wanted on attempted murder charges.
MARTINSBURG, WV- The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a Martinsburg man on Thursday who was wanted on attempted murder charges. 

Police arrested Robert Doyle III, 49, at his apartment after he was wanted by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office on warrants issued on May 28, 2013 charging Doyle with attempted murder and abuse of an incapacitated adult stemming from an incident on May 7. 

Police say Doyle had placed a plastic bag over the victim's head and told her to die on one occasion. They say on another Doyle chocked the woman with a shirt telling her she was "not worth living, not worth anything."

They say Doyle committed other abuses toward the victim, who was paralyzed and could not use her legs, one arm and had limited use of the other arm. 

Doyle is currently being held at Eastern Regional Jail.
