Washington County Traffic Advisory For Friday, Sept. 27

There are multiple street closures and traffic detours to tell you about for the evening of Friday, September 27 in Washington County.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - On the evening of Friday, September 27, in conjunction with the Maryland Theatre's Wind Down Friday program, a large
number of classic cars and other vehicles will be parked on display on North and South Potomac Street as well as West Washington Street. 

Beginning at 4:30 PM, the following street closures will go into effect:

- South Potomac Street will be closed to all traffic between Washington Street and Antietam Street

- W. Washington Street will be closed to traffic between Burhans Blvd. and Potomac Street

- North Potomac Street will be closed to traffic between Franklin Street and Washington Street

- Summit Avenue will be closed to all traffic between Antietam Street and Washington Street.

Vehicles will be allowed to turn left onto Potomac Street at Franklin Street in order to access the University District Parking Deck, but will not be allowed beyond
the parking deck's entrance.

Auxiliary Police and officers from the Hagerstown Police Department will direct traffic at the various street intersections and detour routes will be established to
direct traffic around the closures.

The event is scheduled to end at 10:00 PM and all streets are expected to be reopened to traffic by approximately 10:30 PM.
