Winchester Medical Center Plans to Open Cancer Center

The 47,000 square foot facility will offer better technology and more space for patients.
WINCHESTER, VA - The Winchester Medical Center will soon be building a new cancer center.

The 47,000 square foot facility will offer better technology and more space for patients.

The current cancer departments, such as radiation oncology and surgical oncology, are in separate buildings.  Now they will be under the same roof.

The center is expected to open by the end of 2014 or beginning of 2015.

The new center will be built behind the north tower and next to the diagnostic center.
