After round 1 of snow and ice have moved through the area, we are looking ahead to round 2 on the way for late tonight and into Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the following counties from Late Monday Night through Tuesday:

In Maryland: Frederick & Washington
In West Virginia: Berkeley & Jefferson
In Virginia: Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah & Warren

A Winter Weather Advisory is also in effect for Garrett County, Maryland from tonight through Tuesday for accumulating snow.

Right now, our forecast calls for most of the area to see 3-6 inches of snow from late Monday Night through Tuesday, with our western areas seeing 1-3 inches of snow, and then the higher elevations could see a few inches more than the 1-3 inches we are calling for.

Here is our timeline for the snow for tonight into Tuesday:

Tonight: Clouds Increase
Overnight - Tuesday AM: Snow develops
Tuesday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Heaviest snow timeframe
Tuesday Afternoon: Snow winds down
