Woman Taken to Hospital in Single Vehicle Accident

MORGAN COUNTY, W.Va. - Deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office say a woman was to taken to the hospital Wednesday morning in connection to a single-vehicle accident. 

It happened around 11 a.m. on 238 Seldom Seem Road. 

Deputies say when they arrived on the scene the vehicle was found flipped on its side along the roadway, and the woman was stuck inside the vehicle. They say although she was trapped she was not hurt, and was conscious and alert. They say she was able to talk clearly with EMS.

Deputies say because the way the vehicle was positioned they had to remove her windshield to get her out of the vehicle.  

The woman has since been transported to War Memorial Hospital for evaluation, according to deputies. 

A preliminary investigation is underway into the cause of the accident. Deputies say a medical emergency may have contributed to the crash.
