More than one thousand Catholics attended Ash Wednesday services at Saint Mary's in Hagerstown, joining other Christians around the world as Lent begins.
"I particularly love this day because it really shows us what we believe in, that we actually believe this is Jesus and that he's with us in a special way."
"It's great timing. For Christmas we celebrate the coming of Christ into the world, love and salvation, so I think it's great timing. It's a great way to celebrate Christmas," said Fr. Collin.
