Today: Morning sunshine will give way to clouds this afternoon with the chance of rain showers developing this evening. Expect snow showers this evening in the mountains of Maryland where temperatures will be in the mid 30s.

Tonight: Low pressure will begin to develop offshore so expect the continuation of rain showers in the valley areas that will change over to snow showers as temperatures fall back into the upper 20s to low 30s. Expect a coating up to an inch of accumulation. The mountains will likely receive 1-3" for tonight.

Saturday: An Arctic front will pass through the area bringing in much colder air by the evening. Expect a few snow showers or squall passing through in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30s. Snow showers will continue in western Maryland with an additional 2-4" possible. Winds will gust up to 30 or 40 mph by the afternoon dropping wind chills into the teens.. It will feel close to 0 at times in the mountains. Overnight, wind chills will be in the single digits and at times below 0.

Sunday: Expect partly sunny skies, but very windy and cold conditions. Highs won't get out of the upper 20s with wind chills in the teens and even single digits to the west. Winds could gust up to 30 mph at times. Snow showers may continue into western Maryland with light accumulations possible.

Monday: Sunshine will return with highs rebounding back to near 40 degrees.

Tuesday: On Valetine's Day, clouds will dominate with the chance of a light wintry mix of rain or snow possible. Highs in the low 40s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high of 46.

Thursday: A mix of sun and clouds. A bit milder with a high of 49.
