A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for Tuesday.
TODAY: Today will be partly sunny and milder with highs in the upper 40s to near 50. Light snow is possible in Western Maryland this afternoon with 1"-2" expected by tonight. It will be breezy at times with a west wind at 10-20 mph.
TONIGHT: It's mostly cloudy with light snow arriving after midnight toward dawn. Lows will be in the upper teens to low 20s.
TUESDAY: The arrival of an arctic front and a low pressure along it will bring snow throughout the day. It will be a moderate snow with 4"-8" likely with locally higher amounts. Stay tuned for updates as the storm and amounts could still change. It will be cold so this will be a light and fluffy snow. Winds will gust to 20mph at times with a high of 25. Wind chills will be in the single digits to near 0 at times with blowing and drifting snow in the afternoon.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny and frigid with a high of 20. Lows will dip into the single digits.
THURSDAY: A weak clipper may bring a few flurries. It's still very cold with highs in the low 20s.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny with temperatures still well below average. The high 24.
SATURDAY: A flurry is possible and it's not quite as cold with a high near freezing.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny and warming up a bit into the mid 30s.
