Weather Alerts: The National Weather Service has issued an Aeral Flood Watch for the following counties from 6:00 PM Tuesday until 12:00 PM Wednesday:

In Pennsylvania: Fulton, Franklin and Adams

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch from 6:00 PM Tuesday - 12:00 AM Thursday for all of our West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland Counties, with the exception of Garrett County, MD...

Weather Synopsis: I hope you enjoyed the nice weather this weekend, because it's all about to change. We're watching a very strong low pressure system move towards the area, the one responsible for the severe weather in the Midwest and Arkansas last night. We're not anticipating severe weather here, but we are anticipating a lot of rainfall!

Flood Watches have been issued for Pennsylvania, but everyone can anticipate the potential for water management issues as we get into the next few days. A warm front will stall over the area as we get into Tuesday, that will become the focal point for moisture from Tuesday Night and into Wednesday Morning/Afternoon. That is when we're anticipating the potential for the most rainfall. The rain will begin through tonight, and last into Tuesday before the heaviest of the rain arrives. After the warm front lifts north on Tuesday Night/Wednesday, we will see the chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday (non-severe) before the cold front passes through late Wednesday and into Thursday, and we get a day to dry out before more rain arrives as we get into Saturday.

We're tracking this situation, and stay tuned as this storm begins to impact the area tonight.

I'll see you on WHAG News at 7:00 and 11:00 with the latest on the heavy rain coming!
