With accumulating snow on the way to the region, the National Weather Service has issued Winter Weather Alerts in advance of what we hope, will be our last snow of the season.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the following counties in the WHAG Viewing Area from 6:00 AM until 3:00 PM Tuesday:
In Maryland: Frederick
In West Virginia: Grant, Hardy & Jefferson
In Virginia: Clarke, Loudoun, Page, Shenandoah & Warren
As we see a weather disturbance move through the region, snow will overspread the area, as we get into Tuesday.
Most of the snow will accumulate on grassy surfaces and elevated surfaces, and will make the roads wet, with the highest snowfall accumulations being in the Winter Weather Advisory Area.
Impacts: Roads could become snow covered and slippery Tuesday Morning and travel will be difficult during the morning commute. Most surfaces will become wet Tuesday Afternoon with temperatures rising above freezing.
